Depending on what city you live in you may be required to obtain a permit to install your EV charger.  Your charger may be indoors or outdoors which may have different requirements.  Inspections may also be required. So if you are a DIYer be sure to know the local laws or that your certified electrician that is doing the install is aware of this potential problem.
